I would encourage you to click on the Sincerely Freedom Video link below and watch it. This provides great inspiration regarding the freedom that Christ gives us over sin. There may be a couple of things I do not agree with, but I love the overall message that is being shared. That message is this: “Porn is a huge problem in our culture, especially for today’s students, but Christ, and Christ alone brings freedom.
I hope you were as inspired as I was! May that inspiration lead us to tear this idol down. If you find yourself addicted, come clean!!!! That is the first step towards freedom. If you want freedom and don’t know where to start, I encourage you to go to my Contact page and ask for help.
INTERNET PORN IS KILLING US!!!!!!
If we think this problem does not impact us because we are not addicted, I would encourage you to read 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles. The Lord would not tolerate the idolatry of His chosen people there, and He will not tolerate it now. We must do more than abstain from idolatry, we must tear down the idol!
May God’s kindness lead us to repentance. May we repent and experience His new mercy!
I don’t often make this kind of appeal, but today I am. Please talk to your church leaders about this issue. Tell them we must tear this idol down. Let them know we must address this epidemic. Your church leaders may not know how to address the issue. By God’s grace we do, and we are seeing folks walk in Christ’s freedom! Send them to this site and have them connect with me from the Contact page.
To paraphrase a familiar saying, “All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.”
This reminds me of Esther 4. Esther had the opportunity to be used by God to bring deliverance for her people. She almost missed that opportunity. Through Mordecai’s help, she was able to see that God put her in the position as queen for “such a time as this”.
I do not know the situation you find yourself in, and I am not asking you to fulfill my calling. God has called me to help men, students and families walk in freedom from the idol of sexual sin. Will you help me in this? Talk to your church leaders. Be that voice. We must do something. We can come together for “such a time as this” to be inspired by Christ’s cross to tear down the idol of internet porn and sexual sin.
